Duties What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Project Manager for the National Public Warning System (NPWS) and Technical Requirements Manager for the Office of National Continuity Programs (NCP), Integrated Public Alert and Warning division, providing it with functional support and technical advice. Typical assignments include: * Provides expert analysis and advice on complex program-related technical communication, information (IT), resiliency, continuity, protective measures, and other issues or problems * Ensures the integration of all systems and physical technical components (such as software and hardware, security, radio-frequency (RF) transmitters, receivers, antennas, grounding systems, fuel storage and distribution, environmental studies, construction permitting, etc.), as well as ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the systems analysis process. * Develops and interprets policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the agency and among Stakeholders; provides expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical communications technical issues. Qualifications Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
