Duties * You will serve as a senior System Administrator for one or more highly complex and integrated Information Technology (IT) environments. * You will provide full range of System Administration and System Architecture duties on RedHat Linux operating system on the AWS Gov Cloud environment. * You will perform a full range of system administration duties for assigned operating systems, including planning, designing, installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. * You will interpret and apply Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Navy (DON) security regulations for Information Management (IM) and Information Technology (IT) policies, processes, and guidelines * You will manage organizational and departmental initiatives to modernize IT systems and processes. * You will provide full range of administration duties on AWS native services and various utilities, COTS, and GOTS products. * You will be responsible for System/Environment architecture, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms including Terraform, Ansible etc. * You will be responsible for STIGs and will ensure system accreditation efforts are in conformance with Risk Management Framework and Cyber Security policies and procedures. * You will be responsible for coordination with internal and external stakeholders in support of all System Administration and System Architecture duties. * You will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance certification on all accomplished work. * You will be responsible for effectively using the work tracking system and developing and maintaining system processes, procedures, and other related documentation for the enterprise. * You will manage the system administration functions in support of application development initiatives, plans, and schedules for the installation of new/modified hardware/software. * You will evaluate emerging technologies, architectures, and enable their inception and implementation. * You will support briefings, system reports to management, data calls and troubleshooting efforts. * You will support varied initiatives related to application development, DevSecOps, customer support, and maintenance initiatives. * You will provide technical oversight, technical leadership, and guidance to other IT specialists. * You will provide technical advice and recommendations to management on varied IT technical matters. * You will enable the development and implementation of IT policies procedures and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout an organization. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing full range of System administration duties on UNIX (preferably RedHat LINUX) environment including ensuring meeting Risk Management Framework, STIGS, Cyber Security policies, requirements, and procedures;2) Leading enterprise-level system architecture and infrastructure modernization initiatives involving the latest technological capabilities such as Cloud, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Ansible, DevSecOps, Containerization, etc.; 3) Performing full range of System administration duties on AWS Gov Cloud environment including AWS native services, related utilities, COTS/GOTS products, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms including Terraform, Ansible, etc.; 4) Providing technical leadership and oversight for enterprise-level initiatives; 5) Providing technical recommendations and guidance to senior leadership and management.
