IT Cybersecurity Specialist with Security Clearance

Duties * Responsible for providing professional and scientific expertise in the application of data science disciplines to Defense Cyber Operations (DCO). * Responsible for scientific principles, methods and techniques, such as machine learning and deep learning algorithms, data wrangling, statistical analysis, visualizations, distributed computing, cloud computing and data science ethics, etc. * Provides technical support and expertise to analysts across Cybersecurity Operations on data science related matters and applications. * Collaborate with system administrators and program managers across J6 to improve collection, storage and use of system logs and other data to reduce the cybersecurity risk across the enterprise. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: * Provides a high level of technical expertise in data science, intelligence, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), system analysis, risk analysis, predictive analysis, computer simulation, program/project planning and controls. * Adapts existing or develops new methods of computation and analysis when current techniques will not provide adequate or satisfactory results * Predicts future cybersecurity events or explains past events * Recommends risk response and the best alternatives to current operations and responses, if they are found, and presents relevant trade-off and limitations so decision makers can make informed choices or take appropriate actions. * Documents models, methodologies, experiments, and results to demonstrate significance and relatability.
