Help Duties * You will serve as a Project Material Manager for the department and will ensure all material required for the repair and alteration of ships are ordered, expedited, received, and inspected to support production schedules. * You will provide material needs for other production work within the shipyard and ensure spare parts are repaired and returned expeditiously. * You will coordinate, develop and support the execution of material, tools and consumable handling from job planning to job execution. * You will develop and execute the planning and coordination of complex acquisition plans for the assigned projects. * You will ensure all aspects of advanced material identification are timely, cost effective and consistent with authorized material management strategies. * You will collaborate with various departments to determine critical path materials, long lead-time materials, discuss project progress, discuss material status, set project material priorities and resolve material challenges and barriers. Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating the development of material or service acquisition plans with various organizations to ensure supplies required for the repair and alteration of ships during availabilities are ordered, expedited, received and inspected to support production schedules. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing supply chain inventory, packaging, or distribution trends to identify and recommend cost, policy, or procedural changes to resolve supply operations inefficiencies for ship overhaul projects.
