Duties * Serves as Deputy Director for TRADOC Proponent Office Protection (Directorate). * Plans, manages, co-leads, coordinates, prioritizes- and directs TPO-Protection Warfighting Function (WFF) Proponent activities, policies, programmatics, resources, strategy, engagements, liaison, and supporting services as the proponent for the Army. * Engages other centers of excellence (CoEs), MACOMs, services, allies and coalition nations, institutions, and people to collaborate with the U.S. Army to achieve operational and strategic objectives. * Ensures the execution of all TPO-Protection proponent responsibilities IAW AR 5-22 (The Army Force Modernization Proponent System) within prescribed resources. * Provide technical oversight of supporting Protection WFF activities. * Conducts external Protection WFF coordination and integration with the other five WFF proponents, stakeholder CoEs, MACOMs, services, intergovernmental organizations, allies and coalition nations, and institutions. * Manages and reviews concepts, experimentation and business management functions. * Develops Officer, NCO and Enlisted common core training, including new task development. Develops leader requirements for integration into Officer, Warrant Officer and NCO development courses. * Performs supervisory, administrative and management tasks. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually. * The work of this position requires travel over 25% of the time. Some travel may be required outside of the United States and may even be to a theater of combat operations. Some travel may be required on extremely short notice. * The work of this position may, on occasion, exceed the normal 8-hour workday and cause short notice overtime requirements. * This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position. * This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
