Duties The position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Operations (AMO). AMO's mission is to protect the American people and critical infrastructure by using an integrated and coordinated air and marine force to identify, monitor, detect, interdict, and prevent acts of terrorism and criminal activity arising from unlawful movements of people, illegal drugs and other contraband moving toward or crossing the borders of the United States. This position starts at a salary of $142,488.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $185,234.00 (GS-14, Step 10) While serving as a Domain Awareness Portfolio Manager, your duties will include: * Advising CBP and DHS on air, maritime, land sensor/radar and information sharing systems, which enable DHS missions. * Serving as the Lead Business Authority for the DHS Doman Awareness Network portfolios. * Assisting in the design of the architecture and development of the implementation plan to increase the coverage volume, the probability detection, and detection range, detection in clutter environments, interoperability, and integration of the respective components of the network. Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: * Identifying and recommending modifications to portfolio requirements as necessary for sensor and information sharing systems; * Leading the evaluation of emerging sensor technologies to meet future mission requirements; * Implementing quantitative and qualitative methods within the portfolio and reporting of results; and * Serving as the action officer for all interagency activities related to the assigned portfolio.
