Duties * Serve as a Brigade Safety and Occupational Health Specialist responsible for management of an organizational safety and occupational health program. * Maintain an Engineer Brigade (EN BDE) safety and occupational health program. * Determine safety requirements in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, Army Regulations (AR) 385-10, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Executive Order (EO) 12196, and 29 CFR 1960. * Improve the safety and working environment and reduce preventable accidents for all soldiers, military technicians and civilian employees assigned to the EN BDE. * Advise the Brigade Commander (CDR) on Occupational Safety and Health program management. * Analyze mishap statistics and investigation reports. * Plan training programs and arranges for and directs special training. * Serve as the subject matter expert to Safety Councils and committees throughout the EN BDE. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
