Duties * You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases of systems of budget administration and financial management. * You will analyze, audit, and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and operations. * You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, and financial management duties and to include performing internal audits and reviews, testing internal controls to ensure they are working effectively, and conducting risk assessments. * You will provide advice and training to staff and managers on acquisition financial administrative procedures, practices, regulations, and use of funds. * You will assist in the development and interpretation of financial management and budgetary policies, procedures, and practices. * You will identify, analyze and resolve budgetary and standard accounting problems such as development of alternative methods of funding and analyzing audit reports. * You will perform financial management budgetary planning, analysis, formulation and execution for programs. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26. * This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check. * This is a Bargaining Unit position. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing the duties of a financial analyst, formulating budget and cost estimates to support organizational programs, tracking and reporting on obligations and expenditures and recommending solutions to financial issues within an organization.
