Description:
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior VMWare Administrator to join our team in Laurel, Maryland. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Design, deploy, and configure VMware servers, to include Windows or Linux server images.
* Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize ESX issues related to storage, network and VMWare infrastructure performance issues.
* Develop and maintain documentation for VMware infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
* Plan and execute VMware upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware infrastructure with storage, network, and other systems.
* Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT teams as needed. Minimum Qualifications: * Twelve (12) years' experience as a VMWare Administrator or other technical roles on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a technical field is required. Five (5) additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
* Proficiency with technologies such as VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vSAN.
* IAT II level certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days of start. Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to develop and maintain virtualization infrastructures.
* Ability to troubleshoot VM environment problems and provide technical support.
* Current knowledge of virtualization architecture and technologies.
* Experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop Integration). Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph. Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication. 6.26.BP.SH.AB.AL.23
