Duties * Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the IT Fulfillment Management branch, ensuring that the acquisition, delivery, and recovery of IT assets across the command complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. * Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. * Represents AFOSI with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. * Exercises oversight and management responsibilities of the command IT commodity item fulfillment process. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. * Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. * Incumbent must have excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work on extremely complex and sometimes unsolvable problems. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance. * Selectee must undergo an internal background investigation by AFOSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of AFOSI or the Commander's designated representative(s). * Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position. * Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Examples of specialized experience includes: Utilizing computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies; Applying resource management principles/techniques and system life cycle management principles to include hardware and software; Directing the acquisition, delivery, inventory management (throughout the lifecycle), and disposal actions of IT equipment for the organization's offices; Engaging with personnel from across the organization to ensure that hardware/software solutions developed and acquired meet facility/security specifications and the specific needs for various mission sets; and Planning, organizing, and directing the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: * Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies. * Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk). * Knowledge of resource management principles and techniques, and system life cycle management principles, including hardware and software. * Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. * Skills in reviewing and/or conducting audits of programs and projects. * Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
