Help Duties * You will use a wide range of contract types, including Firm, Fixed Price (FFP), cost reimbursable, and incentive type contracts to support NAVSUP sustainment contracts. * You will serve as a team leader and lead negotiator on a team comprised of engineers, auditors, cost accountants, attorneys, and other specialists. * You will use current acquisition initiatives to to improve overall contract performance. * You will negotiate changes in prices, terms, and conditions due to contract modifications, supplementary agreements, and change orders. * You will plan and coordinate the negotiation strategy for terms, conditions, and fair and reasonable prices. * You will conduct post award conferences to monitor contractor performance. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Resolving critical logistics problems and/or developing new approaches for long-term agreements for supplies and services; 2) Researching, preparing, presenting, and defending negotiation positions; 3) Finalizing acquisition planning documents such as Justification & Approvals (J&As), Acquisition Plans and Determination & Findings (D&Fs); 4) Performing cost analysis to develop the government's position for negotiations; 5) Conducting post award conferences to ensure contractor performance meets the technical and administrative aspects of the contract.
