Duties * Represent the Battalion Commander/Network Enterprise Center (NEC), in the planning of communications-electronics logistics support for Oahu, Hawaii and Kwajalein Atoll areas. * Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates to include establishment of priorities and preparation of schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to and evaluates performance of subordinates. * Coordinate logistics support programming and problem resolution. * Develop policy and guidance to ensure accomplishment of the logistics mission. * Provide staff supervision over logistics data files, including a contract maintenance database, and management accountability or asset visibility database. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Three year trial/probationary period may be required. * Incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance. * The employee may be required to work over-time. * The employee may be recalled to duty. * Position is subject to situational or ad hoc telework. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by developing logistics support plans for the planning of communications-electronics logistics; managing contracts for equipment maintenance; providing guidance in policy development related to logistics management; and supervising personnel to include performance evaluations and staff development. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
