Duties * Performs job and task analyses in support of assigned military occupational specialty (MOS)/courses developed. * Prepares for and participates in quality assurance assessments, making expeditious revisions as delegated. * Consults with the educational professionals and subject matter experts to resolve problems and differences of opinion concerning ongoing design and development of Army training and evaluation materials (e.g., STP, Estimated Time Values). * Plans and participates in one or more phases of Critical Task/Site Selection Boards (CT/SSB). * Provide assistance to instructors on instructional and resource matters; and ensure the organization's course material is relevant, recursive, and revised based on changes in technology or procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Three year trial/probationary period may be required. * Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance. * Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 10 percent of the time. * Must achieve instructor certification and maintain certification throughout employment in this position. Re-certification must be completed according to installation policy. * This is a Cyber Term position scheduled to last 3 Years. A Cyber Term Appointment may be extended to a maximum of five years depending upon the needs of management. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Formulating instructional material for course development or modifications using recommended instructional strategies, 2) Resolving problems concerning design and development of training and evaluation materials in coordination with educational professionals and subject matter experts, 3) Preparing documents, surveys, and memoranda for briefings and meetings for an organization; 4) Determining student training and education needs. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
