Duties Duty 1: Manages the collection of the most complex geo-spatial intelligence. Serves as a subject matter expert for GEOINT collection and operations. Duty 2: Serves as USSF representative, senior adviser, and primary consultant for GEOINT. Duty 3: Presents, and advocates for USSF ISR capabilities to the National GEOINT Program (NGP). Duty 4: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment * U.S. Citizenship Required * All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. * Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). * PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Expert" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. Creditable Experience: Experience includes knowledge of functional plans, policies, programs, and systems engaged in the collection, analysis, processing, dissemination, and production of Geospatial Intelligence; The work requires a mastery of one or more professional or administrative fields. The employee at this level applies experimental theories and new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods or makes decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important policies and programs. Administrative policies and precedents are applicable but are stated only in very general terms. Guidelines for performing the work are scarce or of limited use. The employee uses initiative and resourcefulness in deviating from traditional methods or researching trends and patterns to develop new methods, criteria, or proposed new policies. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Expert knowledge of functional plans, policies, programs, and systems engaged in the collection, analysis, processing, dissemination, and production of Geospatial Intelligence. 2. Expert knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, concepts, and methods to disburse the most complex information/situations attained from multiple sources. 3. Expert knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, and DoD's structure, organizations, mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. 4. Comprehensive knowledge of the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBE) as it relates to Geospatial Intelligence related programs. 5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing; in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work; writing clear and concise intelligence products; and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material; quickly assimilate disparate data; render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data; make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience; and present and/or justify a position effectively. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
