Job Title:System Administrator II Locations:Multiple Locations (Rock Island IL ; Fort Huachuca, AZ ; Fort Detrick, MD ; Fort Stewart, GA ; Carlisle Barracks, PA ; Fort Dix, NJ; Ft Rucker, AL; Ft. Eisenhower, GA (Ft. Gordon)) Clearance:Secret Certifications:CompTIA Security+CE Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field desired. Roles and Responsibilities: * Minimum of three (3) year experience in system administration of network attached storage, storage area network, email, collaboration systems, and file, print and mission servers.
* Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
* Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
* Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
* Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
* Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
* Provides e-mail host administration.
* Configures Exchange Mail Server and continually updates its configuration to ensure compliance with all applicable Army regulations.
* Sets up and configures PCs for the local e-mail host administration and ensures proper anti-virus software is installed on each individual computer system within the network.
