Technical Writer/Editor with Security Clearance

Overview Technical Writer/Editor (E30-2025-22226): Bowhead seeks a Technical Writer/Editor to join our team on a part time basis supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), E Department. The Technical Writer/Editor will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments. The candidate will also support procurements and project financial analysis. Responsibilities * Contibute to R&D program development, in service support, and occasional procurements of supplies and materials. * Develop life cycle cost analyses for the Air Burst Munitions (ABM) 30mm project. * Understand program management concepts supporting the optimization of cost, schedule, and technical performance. * Provide technical analysis of documentation in support of various events and milestone reviews. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree desired, preferably in business/technical curriculum * A minimum of three years' work experience in project/program support analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals, requirements, and objectives. * Experience related to Gun Weapon Systems and/or Navy programs. * Experience developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data. * Experience analyzing information, systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology. * Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. * Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Physical Demands: * Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds. * Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time. * Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. #LI-BG1
