Help Duties * You will document corrective actions needed for continuous improvement in cost, schedule, and quality. * You will read, interpret, and understand blueprints and specifications to identify product characteristics and process requirements. * You will observe task sequence, procedures, and methods to verify alignment to the process plan and technical requirements. * You will review work documents prior to release, and upon completion of work to verify all processing and documentation requirements have been fully executed. * You will administer test and evaluation requirements along with providing pre-production samples to ensure conformance to contract specifications. * You will act as a point of contact for internal/external customers to collect data for analysis in order to determine the adequacy of quality operations. * You will detect program weaknesses and report major causes of failure through analysis and make corrective recommendations to senior management. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Documenting corrective actions needed for continuous improvement in cost, schedule, and quality as well as providing information into the Continuous Process Improvement Management Tool for periodic entries to update information; (2) Serving as a leader on a team to improve quality and production of work along with offering guidance and recommending new policies and/or revisions to procedures and instructions to improve the team and its products; (3) Developing and maintaining comprehensive Quality Assurance management plans based on knowledge of quality methods, practices, and processes pertinent to the assigned weapon system serviced; (4) Administering testing and evaluation requirements along with providing pre-production samples of materials that are submitted for test and evaluation to ensure conformance to contract specifications; and (5) Acting as a point of contact for internal/external customers to collect data for analysis in order to determine the adequacy of quality operations, detecting program weaknesses, and reporting major causes of failure through analysis and to make corrective recommendations to senior management. Additional information This position requires rotating shift work. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. Physical exertion requires moderate lifting and carrying under 40 pounds. Incumbent will be required to climb work stands or aircraft and work at heights of 40 feet for periods of one to two hours.
