Help Duties * You will preside over the day-to-day operation of the Airframes Division. * You will monitor overall quality of division's source development and full screen efforts by sampling completed packages. * You will review all processes of the Division, including files maintenance, execution of source development procedures and critical item review procedures. * You will assign or oversee assignment of work to GS-12 and GS-11 equipment specialists based on their abilities, priorities, and workload. Qualifications I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates a mastery knowledge of day to day Airframes Division. You will be responsible for transitioning engineer related tasks to the Engineering Division Director and assigning respective priorities. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: (1) Applying knowledge of various manufacturing and production techniques, incumbent functions as the division's expert, providing guidance to senior equipment specialists on techniques for researching manufacturing and repair processes involved in airframe's systems; (2) Ensuring division employees are fully aware of current Department of Defense (DoD), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support (WSS) source development and competition policy and procedures; (3) Analyzing and making recommendations relative to the overall NAVSUP program to higher level to promote positive trends; (4) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
