Duties -Serves as Cyber Test Manager, managing and leading a team of government employees and contractors through the planning, execution, and reporting phases of assigned Cooperative Vulnerability Penetration Assessments (CVPA), to include providing Cybersecurity Assessment (CSA) subject matter expertise to the team. -Provide both technical and administrative support for all facets of CVPA development, execution, and process and an integral member of ACC's Operational Test and Evaluation program. -Leads meetings and presents briefings to accomplish Cyber Test Manager duties; contribute to the improvement of the Cyber Test flight and squadron; identify issues, advising leadership and providing potential solutions. -Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development (R&D) organizations, and participation in formal training programs. A master's degree in a technical related field is highly desired. * Prior experience in space operations, cyber weapon systems, cybersecurity, and operational testing is highly desirable. * The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. * This position requires the incumbent to be certified IAW DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management or to obtain the certification within 180 days of being assigned to the position. Incumbent must take refresher * training and pass the recertification requirement as required by the program manager. Failure to obtain and maintain the 8140.01 certifications may result in loss of position and/or reassignment. Qualifications This is an Interdisciplinary position that may be filled as a Computer Engineer, GG-0854-13, Electronics Engineer, GG-0855-13, Operations Research Analyst GG-1515-13, or Computer Scientist, GG-1550-13. This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the Professional work category are at the Full Performance work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the 13 grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus & courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields & circuits; (f) nature & properties of materials. Combination of education & experience -- college-level education, training, &/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical & mathematical sciences underlying engineering & (2) a good understanding, both theoretical & practical, of the engineering sciences & techniques & their applications to one of the branches of engineering. Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
