IT Specialist (INFOSEC) with Security Clearance

Duties * Periodically reviews the status of all information systems. * Responsible for ordering, receiving, issuing, inventorying, replacing, and returning COMSEC material and equipment. * Responsible for performing and/or overseeing selected managerial aspects of the Cybersecurity program for the Installation Computing Environment. * Ensure published guidance follows Federal laws, Executive Orders, Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Army (DA) directives and regulations. * Implement the site-based Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization program. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Three year trial/probationary period may be required. * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. * Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 20% of the time. * The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. * Overtime and shift work may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements. * Physical required due to lifting and moving computer equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. * Position is designated as Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level-II. Personnel assigned to this position must obtain the appropriate certification within six months of being assigned * The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate computing environment training and obtain the required certification applicable to the computing environment and baseline certification for IAT-II. * Failure to satisfactory obtain and/or maintain updated certifications IAW publication listed are grounds for termination. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: * Developing and enforcing Cybersecurity procedures, policies, and regulations for systems security * Coordinating assessment and authorization activities for Risk Management Framework (RMF) for all enclave information technology; * Preparing, managing, and implementing assessment and authorization requirements which may also include Army Portfolio Management System (APMS), Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA), Army IT metrics; * Serving as a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Enhanced Trusted Agent for Alternate Smartcard Login and SIPRNet Tokens The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing work independently that rarely requires editing or review by others. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
