Description:

Duties * Patrol installation range, training, and hunting areas utilizing specialized vehicles and equipment to enforce State and Federal laws. * Supervise Game Warden Officers and assign work. * Responsible to liaison with installation, local, state, and federal wildlife officials pertaining to conservation Law Enforcement on the Installation. * Determine equipment, supplies, and maintenance requirements and develops spend plans and annual budgets. * Perform administrative functions that require maintaining pertinent records, reports, evaluations, and citations. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Secret security clearance. * Must successfully pass a pre-employment and recurring medical examinations as required by Federal Law and the Office of Safety and Occupational Health Administration guides and guidelines set forth in AR 190-56. * Pass annual physical agility test requirements per AR 190-56. * The position mandates the employee comply with the provisions of the Federal Workplace Drug Testing Program. Subject to random urinalysis testing IAW Department of the Army guidelines. * The position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment in the position. * Be qualified and certified in the use of chemical aerosol irritants, and tear gas. * State certification, if required, for radar and breathalyzer operations. * Maintain requirements of Individual Reliability Program (IRP) IAW AR 190-56. * Must successfully complete reoccurring CPR certification and First Aid training. * Must participate in regularly scheduled training. * Good eye/hand coordination is required to operate radios and security weapons and equipment. * Must be in sufficient physical condition to assist in searching vehicles and persons and restraining persons. * Works both inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather. * Subject to verbal abuse and possible injury or death. * Shift work is required; Rotating shifts are required. Hours of work encompass fluctuating tours of duty to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. * Must successfully complete the Hunters Safety Course. * Overtime may be required as directed. * This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
